HistoryDevelopment of Death Hall
After landing a job as an animator, Thomas flew out to Sydney to work full time at a visual effects studio. He was keen to work himself to the absolute bone and started working on a new game project in his precious spare time. What started out as a 6 month project, Death Hall ended up being a 3 year one due to balancing his animation job and development of the game. Thomas went slightly mad in the process. Over time Death Hall became comprised of over 5000 sprites and over 300 sound effects. Thomas is definitely using Aseprite for his next project and not Photoshop. On the plus side, at long last he learned how to use Final Cut Pro when editing the trailer for the game. He can now add "Final Cut Pro Master" to his LinkedIn page. But in all seriousness, Death Hall was an incredible project to work on. The game was released on the App Store to a very positive reception, and a small but passionate community grows around the game!
